Fall Equinox Nature Escape

A Full-Day Mini Nature Getaway at Souls Path Retreats

As summer gives way to fall, nature enters a season of transition.

The Fall Equinox marks a beautiful threshold in the year: a time associated with balance, harvest, transition and the gradual turning toward the quieter months ahead.

On Sunday, September 20, just before the Fall Equinox, we invite you to step away from the pace of everyday life and join us at Souls Path Retreats for a Full-Day Fall Equinox Nature Escape.

Set among the forest trails and peaceful natural surroundings of Souls Path, this intimate retreat brings together forest bathing, nourishing food, meaningful connection, 9D Somatic Breathwork and intentional circle and ceremony to support nervous system regulation, presence and reconnection with yourself and the natural world.

This isn't a day about doing more.

It's a day to slow down enough to notice what is already here.

Begin in the Forest

After landing, we’ll begin our morning with a three-hour guided Forest Bathing experience led by holistic psychotherapist Randi Micklewright.

Randi’s work is rooted in helping people reconnect with their voice, identity and authentic selves, particularly when stress, trauma, grief, caregiving or burnout have caused parts of themselves to become lost beneath the needs and demands of everyday life.

Forest bathing brings this spirit of reconnection into the natural world.

Unlike hiking, where distance or destination often becomes the focus, forest bathing invites us to slow down and experience nature through the senses.

Through gentle invitations and periods of quiet exploration, Randi will guide you into a different relationship with the forest: noticing sound, movement, texture, scent, light and the subtle things we often miss when we're moving quickly.

There is nowhere to get to.

The invitation is simply to be where you are.

Nourish, Rest & Connect

At midday, we’ll gather for a nourishing vegan and gluten-free lunch, followed by spacious time for connection, rest and integration.

This part of the day is intentionally unhurried.

You may find yourself in meaningful conversation, journalling, wandering outside, resting quietly or simply enjoying the surroundings.

There is no agenda for how you should use this time.

Journey Inward with 9D Somatic Breathwork

In the afternoon, Maggie Hillman of Limitless Breathwork will guide us through a 9D Somatic Breathwork experience.

9D Breathwork combines intentional breathing patterns with a guided journey and layered soundscape to create an immersive mind-body experience.

Maggie’s approach offers practical tools for regulating stress and reconnecting with the body, while creating space for greater calm, clarity, self-awareness and renewed energy.

Rather than simply asking the mind to “switch off,” breathwork gives our attention somewhere to go. As we work consciously with the breath, we have an opportunity to notice habitual patterns, physical sensations, emotions and responses while reconnecting with the body and nervous system.

The experience will include preparation and education, guided breathwork, and time afterward for integration.

No previous breathwork experience is required.

Gathering in Circle

Monique Ra Brent will hold and guide our circle, helping create a welcoming space for connection, reflection and integration as we move through the different experiences of the retreat.

Monique is an artist, musician and certified MAP Practitioner whose work explores transformation, nervous system regulation, emotional healing, identity and the ways we reconnect with ourselves beneath the stories and patterns we accumulate through life.

Her approach brings together curiosity, creativity, emotional awareness and a deep respect for each person's individual experience.

Rather than telling you what your experience should mean, the circle creates room to notice what is meaningful to you.

Together, we’ll have opportunities to arrive, connect, reflect and integrate what emerges throughout the day.

Honouring the Fall Equinox

We’ll complete our time together with a closing circle and Fall Equinox fire ceremony, marking the transition from summer into fall and creating space to acknowledge transitions within our own lives.

The equinox offers a natural point of reflection.

A moment between seasons.

A meeting place between light and dark.

And an invitation to consider balance not as something we permanently achieve, but something we continually return to.

As we gather around the fire, you may choose to reflect on questions such as:

What has grown in my life this season?

What am I grateful to harvest and carry forward?

What has completed its season?

What am I ready to release?

What would I like to make room for next?

You are welcome to experience the ceremony spiritually, symbolically, reflectively or simply as a meaningful way to mark the changing season.

There is no particular belief system required.

This Day May Be For You If...

You’ve been feeling overstimulated, overextended or caught in constant doing.

You spend a great deal of time caring for, supporting or showing up for other people and rarely create the same amount of space for yourself.

You're craving time away from screens, schedules and responsibilities.

You feel restored by nature or want to deepen your relationship with the natural world.

You’re curious about forest bathing, somatic breathwork or holistic approaches to nervous system regulation.

You’re moving through a transition of your own and would value intentional space for reflection.

You want meaningful human connection without the pressure of a highly social event.

Or perhaps spending an autumn Sunday in the forest simply sounds wonderful.

That is reason enough.

You don't need experience with forest bathing, breathwork or meditation.

You don't need to be particularly spiritual.

You don't need to arrive calm, centred or ready to have some profound experience.

You simply need to arrive.
